Soothr

Soothr is an ambient noise generator designed to allow you to enhance your environment wherever you are. It's perfect to help fall asleep, relax, meditate or just to chill-out. You can even use it as a baby soother to help your baby sleep. Soothr is the only white noise application that allows you to freely download from an ever-growing library of over 80 sounds. You can preview sounds before you download and queue up multiple sounds to download simultaneously in the background. Mix your downloaded sounds and combine them into your perfect seamless mix. You can adjust individual sound playback volumes, and save your mixes for future playback. Downloaded files are automatically categorised in your library. You can also mark specific sounds as favourites, and rate your downloaded sounds online so other users can track the top sounds. The countdown timer helps you fall asleep by turning your mix off after a certain number of minutes. You can also use Soothr as an alarm clock by setting up alarms based on your mixes. These alarms also include the option to snooze on activation. The trial version is fully functional, but only allows you to add two sounds to your library at any time. Upgrade to the full version for an unlimited library size. Please send any comments, feedback, bug reports or sound requests directly to support@soothr.com. * HTC Phone Users: Please note that on some HTC phones attempting to adjust the volume of individual playing sounds has no effect. This is a known bug on the current batch of HTC phones, and cannot be corrected by Soothr. We are waiting on HTC/Microsoft to correct this issue in a future update.

I cannot sleep in hotels without some form of ambient noise, I will just wake up all the time. This app allows me to play ocean noise with the screen off so I can sleep. THANK YOU

Solid app, but does not continue to run in the background if you switch to other apps to go to the home screen.

Well done app. Many ways to customize your own mixes. I use it for study and soothing Tinnitus.

I have version 3.0 of this app, running on a Lumia 900, Windows Phone 7.5. The app runs perfect on my phone. There is a good selection of sounds available and I really like how easy it is to create and save your own custom mix of sounds. Great app!

Would be a nice app if it worked, but this app is point less since you can't eve download 1 thing. Even over a strong fast excellent WiFi connection. Don't waste your time! This app doesn't even deserve 1 star, but I can't give it 0 stars otherwise I would have!

Great app hoping for some updates in the future, and background functionality

I like this app, I use it in the office. The ability to layer sounds is novel and gives me the ability to recreate the soothing environments such as a thunderstorm on an airliner. A nice variety of sounds are available. Hoping for the addition of "datacenter" soon. The volume sliders to adjust the individual sounds in a mix does not work, but this app is fine without that. It would be a nice feature to have working. Not sure why people think it is necessary to include the model of phone they are using this on. I mean, c'mon this isn't Android. However, since another review said it doesn't work on an HTC Arrive, I will state that it is working just fine on my Arrive. One star removed because of volume sliders not working, but as previously stated, this is still a fine app. Other clarification. The two sound limit is only for the trial. Why would any reviewer hold that against this app is beyond me.

I really wanted this app to work but it does nothing but freeze at every possible opportunity. This app does not work on the HTC Arrive.
