Chordle

Get rid of your heavy music folder! Chordle is a songbook management program that replaces that and does so much more. Redesigned and rewritten for Windows 10, Chordle is the best song book management app available on the Windows Store today. Transpose chords for your songs as you play them, create and share set lists, display capoed chords when you're playing with guitarists or uncapoed chords for other band members. Chordle can show chord charts for a song, along with chord variations for both guitar and ukulele. Please note that Chordle is free to try out, but you won't be able to use many of the features like set lists, OneDrive syncing and import/export without paying for the full app first through an in-app purchase.

Features:

  • Build up your own library of songs
  • Create and share your set lists
  • Customise the keys and capo position for each song in a set list
  • Guitarists can show the capoed chords, whist other musicians can show the un-capoed chords
  • Search online sites from within the app to quickly build up your song library
  • Import and export your songs and set lists
  • Export set lists as a Microsoft Word document for sharing with musicians that don't own tablets
  • Great for church and contemporary bands alike
  • Easily convert songs from ChordPro format to Chordle format
  • Customize the colors that songs are presented in
  • Synchronize your songs and set lists with OneDrive

Great app and so simple to use. The import from web pages is a huge improvement over competing apps. I had some trouble adding songs to a playlist because they won't drag. I finally figured out you can swipe a song to add it to playlist. You could edit the help text to say swipe or drag & drop. Totally happy with the purchase.

1. Needs scroll speed save capability as an option during edit. I don't have time with a guitar in hand to mess with changing scroll speed for every song. 2. I would hope someday to see this app incorporate an audio player ( wav, acc, mp3, wma) syncing with the lyrics scroll...it would become the perfect tool for the solo artist using windows.....and with that some add-on effects (reverb, delay, etc). 3. Allow Font coloration anywhere in the lyrics for emphasis without the need for entering a control word such as chorus or bridge all the time. 4. Allow for changing case i.e. upper or lower, on passages or all of a song lyric(s) thank you for listening.

I love this app and use it to help me learn new songs but Ultimateguitar searching has broken leaving me to import songs manually. Would love to see this bug sorted out. Great app otherwise!

I produce a set list, everyone in the band syncs and we are done. Transpose on the fly. Easy to use. Easy to add a song in the middle of a set. Our entire song book on stage with us. Don't have to go online in the middle a set to add one of our songs.

If you need a song book organizing app, try Microsoft One Note... best part, it's free.
