The xbox one s controller works well with windows over Bluetooth and connects faster than the older controllers that required the wireless dongle. Sometimes the controller would connect to the dongle and disconnect and I had to reboot every time it happened to fix it. So I traded my regular xbox one controller and elite controller at gamestop and was able to get a one s controller with bluetooth and now it connects perfectly every time and seems to be very low latency with my intel Bluetooth 4.2 controller. Also this app is how you update the firmware on the controller.

Even if you don't own an Elite Controller, this app can be useful for updating the firmware on standard Xbox One controllers, without needing access to an Xbox One console.

Downloaded in about 15 seconds, installed in about 15 seconds, picked up my elite controller when I plugged it into my PC with a usb cable in about 3 seconds. This app works fine.

App works great, perhaps there was some bug in 2014 which briefly caused some issues, but that was long ago. Please get over it. The Xbox One gamepad is simply the best, you cannot call yourself a gamer and settle for anything less. This app works exactly as intended! Get over it!

This app works well for setting up game-specific configurations for my Elite controller across different games. It's nice that it persists across both Xbox One and Windows 10. Great app, and it would be cool if it had even more configurations from game developers.

People seem to think that because this doesn't work the default wireless controller the app is bad, but don't seem to understand that this app specifically runs using Bluetooth; which those controllers simply don't have the hardware for. This app is made for Bluetooth enabled controllers specifically meant to be able to run on devices other than the Xbox and anyone who gives an angry, unfair review because of that is a moron to have not paid more attention to the intention and use of this app.

I kinda figured this software would have installed with the controller but for the life of me couldn't figure out why the controller wouldn't tell me battery levels or configuration. It worked great for whatever it's worth. After installing this app I'm even more satisfied with an already amazing controller. For those that are rating it bad because you can't take the time to read the description before installing. You get what you deserved. Anyways, great app, game on!

I don't leave reviews often but when I come across a app that is unfairly reviewed I have to give the truth. Yeah it dose not work with other controllers but it literally states change you ELITE controller not your ps4 controller. Anyways a good app if u have the right product. Five stars from me

This app is necessary for using an Xbox One S Controller with Windows 10. I bought my controller from Xbox Design Lab to play in my Windows 10 computer, but I don't have an Xbox console. The controller worked fine since all the time with some slightly disconnections even when connected through USB. Not really an issue, but some times it started acting up with the same pattern of disconnection. After downloading this app, launched it for the first time and connecting the controller via USB, the app told me that the controller's firmware was out of date, and that if I want it to update it. After updating it, the controller had been working flawlessly and I even notice that I'm performing way better in games such like Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt. Though, there aren't that much games yet that support the Xbox One S Bluetooth Controller, but looks that there are adding games more frequently. Definitely needed and recommended for PC gamers that uses and Xbox One S Bluetooth Controller.
