usb connection doesn't work

This simple program was exactly what I needed to kick start my brain for remote controlling my Arduino kiln controller. Worked great over USB, I had an LED turning on, off and fading within seconds of downloading. Now to import some libraries and start coding. Thanks!

USB connection not working at any baud rate, I have uploaded the standardFirmata sketch to my Arduino Mega 2560 and then I hit the refresh button in the app after choosing the USB connection and setting the correct baud rate that I have set in the standard fermata sketch and then when I hit the connect button its showing me an error. Connection attempt failed: UsbSerial::connectToDeviceAsync failed with a platform exception type(catastrophic failure. Unable to initialize the device. Did you forget youtr USB device capabilities in the manifest? SerialDevice::FromIdAsync returned null.

This app is a great idea and works very well using the USB connection. That all said however, it seems impossible to get a WiFi link working; it always throws a Platform Exception type claiming that the network capabilities are likely missing in the manifest. Having read around, this seems to come from the usage of the Windows published "Remote Arduino" library that sits underneath this app. I would love to see this fixed! Please Microsoft!

This app is a blast, even for a hack like me. It does require making sure you have the baud rate set correctly, and if you're a beginner there are a lot things to get hung up on. But this app could help you do some fun stuff

I couldn't get it to work on UNO or NANO: under Windows 10 Always got message: Connection attempt failed: USBSerial::connectToDeviceAsync faild with a Platform::Exception type. (message: Catastrophic failure Unable to initialize device. Did you forget your USB device capabilities in the manifest? SerialDevice::FromAsync returned null.) I searched for solutions for this but found none. I found no support site for "Windows Remote Arduino Experience" No mention in set up for modifying code. Pretty useless

I wish I had this app when I started with Arduino year ago. Just upload "StandardFirmata" sketch & explore all the functions of Arduino. Thumbs up!
