I turn to Wikipedia for quick information on a variety of subjects. This app makes it quicker to get to that info.
27 July 2014
There are no problems with this app as a Wikipedia reader and it fits the Windows 8 look nicely, but it does not have some folks' favorite Wikipedia feature: random article.
3 August 2014
This is really sloppy, guys. You can't log in to edit, much less edit anonymously. Even though there are edit links, they just don't work. You are better off with the web version where you can edit and use the media viewer.

I like the app a lot. With that being said, however, it could use some improvements. I like the way the pages look within the app, but I wish I could flip between them like I do pages in a book. There are a few cosmetic shortcomings in regards to this app, and that is it. Nice work, Wikipedia!
17 October 2014
It will be an excellent app if only the text size is larger.
3 August 2015
Also can we incorporate a scroll down feature and a text editor so we can zoom in and out and enlarge text and highlight text as well.
Although still a new app. Very nice.
5 August 2015
The app has problems rendering contents of pages. This is most likely the result of the decision to render them horizontally. Ledes for example are cut short and there is no way to view the rest of it especially if there is a sizable infobox along with it. Also, tables render poorly. The most glaring problems however are the lack of an option to log in and also the ability to edit any article.
1 October 2015
The fonts are too small on my screen and it doesn't automatically open links when searching like in Android.
1 December 2015
Would it be possible to have save article function for offline reading?
25 August 2015
There cannot be better way to surf Wikipedia than this app but on high resolution displays there is no way to increase font size. Unfortunately, increasing Windows text size disturbs everything.
8 October 2014
should be fixed
2 September 2015
you have question, we have more. just kidding about the getting lost by clicking on other stuff to help you understand page subject, but after awhile you are 8 er 10 concepts back. Myself I never complained about this but I have seen in inordinate amount from others. and actually there could, should?, will be! a variability/options that I am imagining image making, imagination nation, and proposing to ourselves to manifest this idea

Outstanding work, Wikimedia. I know crashes can sometimes be hard to fix. The app starts and runs perfectly. Very easy to use, and actually is more enjoyable to use than the web site for basic reading of articles.
21 September 2015
The experience is good. However, it could be better if front size can be changed. Also, please add index for convenience.
14 July 2014
Awesome :) must have app works great
26 November 2015
I like the navigation of this app, compare to the web based version, please make it in mobile version (Windows phone) as well
27 August 2015
Data is pretty accurate and easy to access.
26 July 2015
Crashes on launch. Please fix.
28 April 2015
At present, I'm not too happy. First I entered the web site for Wikipedia from a highlighted word in the article I was reading, and the site had a message that to enter I had to have the ap. Why? If it is free, how does it matter how I enter? And why did I immediately receive a notice to enter a way to pay -it's free! Then as I read the reviews others had posted I hit yes where it asked 'was this helpful' and instead of it registering the 'yes' I picked, it registered a 'no'. So far, I am not impressed with this app; I went ahead and gave it three stars because in general I have liked what I got from the web site. Those stars can change up or down pretty quickly, so please, Wikipedia, make the fixes......
8 May 2014
It's much easier to just use Wikipedia from your browser. It doesn't need a full screen, dedicated app.
31 December 2015
This app does well to locate and lay out an article. It does little more than this, which is well enough for most use. However, after seeing the Android Wikipedia app, it can be made better.
The app has limited functionality beyond viewing a single page at one time. Being able to have multiple pages open in tabs (like the Android app) would greatly expedite going down Wikipedia rabbit holes. Also, being able to sign in with your Wikipedia account, for saving pages and tracking edits would greatly bring the app up to full functionality, along with a table of contents sidebar (just like the Android app I won't shut up about).
All in all, I think this is a worthwhile and helpful app, but there is a little more that would go a long way.
14 October 2015
The good: Great user interface, this app really looks nice. The layout is far more conducive to reading in general.
The bad: The text won't scale. I can't read the articles on either my 27" monitor or my 8" tablet.
The ugly:most link don't work and navigation is limited.
A little bit of work and the Foundation should be able to combine the best elements of the app with the website and vice versa
17 August 2015
Where is random article option?
Layout of article is more like a newspaper & different from the website... Something that needs time for me to get used to.
25 April 2014
This app seems very convenient; however, I find myself waiting for pages to load (from Windows search to app) and oftentimes the app crashes. Make this app more stable and it will be excellent.
7 April 2014
were searching for info is concerned.
1 August 2015
Does not open on an Asus 2-in-1 with windows 8.
8 January 2016
Would be a great and useful app, but there are no gestures for zooming and pinching, nor any other way of increasing the size of the text on a tablet. On my Dell Venue 8 Pro, I have to take off my glasses and hold it close to my face in order to read it. Thank goodness for being near-sighted or I'd have to use a magnifying glass. This seems like a really basic functionality to leave out in this day. And it hasn't been fixed since I first tried the app in 2014. It's a real pity. With hi-res mobile devices of various sizes, you'd think that gestures for focus and zoom would be a basic.
22 August 2015
Crashed at start-up. Apparently it hasn't been fixed. Please fix.
26 May 2015
re-installed and still does it. :(
15 September 2014
Please add a feature to zoom in and out as well as increasing font size
