It will not play some mkv files. Top of screen ads are easily removed by clicking the middle of the screen to put view into full screen. This would be a 5 star if it had better mkv support. VLC plays them fine.

Great app supports most formats

Good start but has a long way to go. I couldn't get it to play any mkv files. Also need to add the ability to select different audio tracks if more than one language is available.

The app actually covers up your video with ads for the whole time it is playing. I thought it would disappear after a minute but it stayed there. Covering up my movie! It is the only app that I have found that recognizes DLNA servers and plays mkv's. I was going to give it 5 stars until I realized the ads would not go away.

The only reason I downloaded was so that I can play some MKV files and they are playing great. So in a nut shell this app does exactly what I need it to do.
