I don't know why there's been negative feedbacks lately for this app but it worked fine for me as a first timer. I used in MIAMI, FL without knowing any promotion codes and my ride came in just as the expected time of arrival. There's also an estimated fare/price quote before confirming your ride and type of ride which I thought worked correctly. The app also gives u the option to select how many ppl is riding and who the driver is and his/her car's make & model and license plate as well. And the uber text information about your ride status worked awesomely.
Overall, my first time experience is good since everything worked as expected with no issue. I'm using app version 4.2.6.0 on the ATIV SE which was installed on 5/10/17. There's a new update on 6/13/17 but I haven't updated it yet. I'll wait a few more weeks/months to see how stable the Uber app version 4.2.6.0 is for WP8.1. I notice that there ppl using unsupported phone that they use to update their phone to get the latest update... That's the problem... Upgrade!!!

Very convenient!!! I just had a small suggestion? I recently found myself needing a ride with a large dog. I was curious if having an animal in the Uber was something they could accommodate. Uber leaves the decision up to the drivers. Which is totally fine, but there should be a way to be set up with an Uber that allows animals without having to first arrange your Uber & then call the driver to ask whether or not they allow animals in their vehicle.

Never thought I'd ever have to use Uber but had an emergency this morning and had to download the app on my Lumia 950 Windows Phone. It worked perfectly. Got me to my destination on time. 5 stars.
