I love The Great Courses Plus but the Windows 10 app. stinks. It keeps sending to a 404 error page, in 4 more clinks I can manually log in. So I go to my Chrome browser and click the bookmark for G. C. plus . After each Windows update I try the app again but still no repair.

This is a great service, but I have some suggestions: Faster playback of video. I can easily watch most of these videos at 1.5x speed without loss of comprehension, allowing me to watch 12 hours of video in 8 hours. Login credentials are not remembered, even when I checked the box Remember Me. Be able to save videos for off-line viewing. Icons and keyboard shortcuts to change video playback speed. I will give this app 5 stars when they allow faster playback!

App works. But pretty silly that it takes you to a broken page resulting in a 404 error. You would think it would take you to the log in page, but you have to get there yourself. Might as well just use your browser.

Sloppily put together and likely crashed my computer. Stick to the website.

This is The Great Courses Plus. They are two different products. Just wanted to clarify because of Eric's comment. Other than that, the app needs some work but the lectures(and website) are great!

It works great for watching video through The Great Courses Plus Subscription. If you bought lectures through the regular "The Great Courses". Then this is the wrong app! Stick with the browser version or maybe the Android/ios version. They don't have it for windows!

This "app" web grab, but it's very poor. So much so that using the website is MUCH better. There is no landscape mode, so even with the video in "full screen", the video is small and you can't really rest your phone on a stand. Disappointing to say the least.

This app really needs a lot of work. It plays the videos just fine BUT that's all it does. You can't organize your watch list easily or quickly and every time it loads it gives me a 404 error (granted they wrote a cute message but still) AND it does not remember to keep me signed in even though I have that box checked on the sign in page. So we need to see a lot of improvements here. It would be great if it saved your last class to the top of the list. It would be better if it let you organize your list by category and a better still if it provided a way to custom sort the list. Other than drag and drop because that is slow and cumbersome...especially when you have a long list (like I do). So, in a nutshell, the app plays the videos just fine but needs a much more refined User Interface to earn more stars from me. As for the video content itself, so far every class I've tried out has been awesome. Excellent teachers, excellent production value and excellent lesson plans.

I purchased a ton of courses, but cannot access them via this APP, but I can on my kindle.. wierd

The Great Courses traditionally sells content a la carte. But at some point they've begun a subscription model, which does NOT give access to all courses. THIS app is strictly for those with a subscription. If you have a Great Courses account and have bought stuff a la carte (as I've done a lot), you cannot even log in with this app, much less use it to view your videos. (By contrast, in their iOS app I can view my courses.) Seems The Learning Co. wants to move to a subscription model, even though they aren't marketing it much.
