Love the doorbells , have 3 installed but was having issues with the app however an update appeared just as I was reviewing. So after the update Great, now app matches units.

It's absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable for the following, especially for a device costing that much money! - The PC app for the Ring Video Doorbell is not capable of viewing live video. - The PC app for the Ring Video Doorbell showing the "Live View" verbiage for each of the listed recordings to select from is very misleading because it is not live. Instead, that verbiage should be something such as "Previously Recorded Live View" or "Video View". - Access to the Ring Video Doorbell cam should be accessible for viewing and control via the major web browsers (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox) via it's LAN IP address:port as well as the WAN IP address:port. - Excluding Ring Video Doorbell software and apps, access to the Ring Video Doorbell cam should be accessible via other software and apps on PC, Mac and mobile devices (i.e. iPhone, iPad, Android). Note that I just confirmed all of the above via Ring's Live Chat Support.

An update today 07/13 caused the ring app to crash on the PC. App will not open but I get notifications. :-(

It's nice to be able to have this app on my computer so that I can get notifications while I am working; however, the Windows App doesn't appear to have the same functionality as the iOS app. For 1, it's missing the Device Health state.

This app will not download and consistently gives download error.

Often fails to delete selected items . frequent problems starting up. Frequent problems connecting to video.

But this Win 10 app is garbage. Hopefully they fix and update it. I have one live view recording and the live view list in this app just repeats the same recording line after line forever, and so far every time I have tried to view a recording it just says unsupported file type or path not found. There is not much functionality in the windows app that makes it worth installing. Just stick to your mobile device for now.

Like the idea, But the windows app has really been a problem lately, Like for instance- you want to see your front yard fine but the video quality is really bad and when it saves your video that you just watched it saves like 500 copies of it lol and when you try and delete them all from the cloud (that you are now paying for annually) it recreates more of the same video, same day same time lol, Like I said great idea just to glitchy to really use, and when it triggers and says there is motion in front yard, your tap the icon and there is nothing there and 400 copies of it to prove there was nothing there lol. I have uninstalled the app and reloaded it and still the same problems. Worked great for 4 months before I purchased the "cloud storage" because my free trial had expired. Works ok on my Android, But windows its a no go.

Installed, configured, and worked once. On subsequent launches the application displayed a white screen then closed (action center alerts continued to appear) . The Ring hardware and iOS application seem to work well, so hopefully they will get the Windows 10 application working better.

Fortunately, I have a "legacy" android phone, or I wouldn't be able to adjust all of the available settings. The WP platform on both PC and Mobile doesn't support adjusting of the sensitivity of the motion zones or any scheduling. I started not getting any notifications as well. That would be fine, if I could do it from the website, but I couldn't do it there either! All you can do is review all the activity videos. So, if you don't use an App, you are out of luck!! Really?

So after we purchased the floodlight cam and had already installed it, is when we realized that the app hasn't been updated for Windows 10 to access the floodlight cam. After talking to customer support and being told that the app wasnt even close to being ready within a week or longer, we were super disappointed that we wouldn't have mobile access and considered returning. However, we installed it on an old iPad of ours and did the initial setup. Turns out that you can access all of the flood cam features, except the actual light on/off and the motion zones, on my windows phone. This is given that you are on the same account that you set the floodlight cam up with. It works great albeit a little choppy on the video. Hopefully, this helps someone experiencing the same disappointment.

Love the app, and for the most part it works well. However, on my Lumia 950, 90% of the time, when I answer a ring or motion, it presents a white screen while it loads the app, by the time it loses, the event is over. :( Also, where is the neighborhoods function? Please fix, about to order another stickup camera, heavily invested into ring because of Windows Mobile presence, so thank you for that, just don't forget about us!!!

Absolutely enjoy our suite of Ring Products. As mentioned, the Win10 app seems to be behind on updates given the flood light camera's features, as I am unable to turn on the lights, sound the alarm or take any action typically accessible via hitting the "+" key. Something seems to try to open when clicking the "+" key, though the expanded menu seems to open behind the zoom and mute buttons in the bottom right corner of the app. Thanks for listening!

I got the doorbell pro as a gift. I set it up in less than 20 minutes. The app is very functional, however when I compared it to the iPhone version, the windows version is lacking features. Such as sensitivity system health check and others. Nevertheless it is a great product and the app works well on both mobile and pc.

Great to have this app available for desktops, as well as tablets & phone. Very convenient!

This Windows 10 app does sees my two Ring Floodlight Motion cameras as Ring Doorbells. You can still see a live view and see what triggered an alert. However, you can not change the motion range settings with this app.

Not the prettiest app, but it works ok once it's launched. Is there an API available so someone could write a decent app?

The app worked initially, but for at least a month the app crashes upon start. It will give alerts, but will not open. I have tried to find support for the issue with no luck.

I have both the Win 10 phone and PC versions. Both take a looong time to load. Many times I miss a caller as the app takes its own sweet time to load -- it sometimes crashes on load, needing a restart. It lacks features of the android version, namely, neighborhoods. The android version also launches in about a sec., whereas the windows version takes closer to a minute on the phone and about 20 sec on a desktop! But, this is one of the few vendors that support the windows devices, and for that I appreciate it.

Doesn't support the new floodcam at all. Seems to have trouble on low speed networks.

I try to open the program and every time it just shows a blank window for a second and then just closes. Works fine on a different PC.

I have this app on pc and windows phone 10 and it is currently missing the chime pro and some of the basic features IOS and Android have. I had some issues hooking it up because, of this. Now my daughter has control of it with her Iphone....yuck

It works for about a week after installing, then the app just repeatedly crashes on startup.

avatar

This app has been crashing lately as soon as I open it. Some the features for the flood cam are not fully functional when it does work which has been seldom lately.

App will not load/start, I get a blank screen when I try to launch.

This doorbell has a good look and a great idea, but will return it due to video quality. can not recognize faces, freezes, no adjustment on exposure. (I have high speed internet service and a router work next to it....16 transformer(4328mv)).
