* We fixed a bug during initialization of license information. This bug often leads to app crashes for the first start of podscout after a reboot. ** INFO ** Currently we have no additional resources to develop and release podscout as an universal windows app. Allthough we're not sure, which direction the evolution of the Windows ecosystems takes. When I first downloaded this app I loved it ! but slowly, over time I had problems opening it or it would just close in mid podcast....now I can't even get it to open. guess I am going to have to back to stitcher

This has been my go-to podcast app for the longest time. Unfortunately, it has not been working lately - feeds don't refresh, can't download new episodes, episodes that I've already downloaded constantly disappear. I will unfortunately have to uninstall this.

I Podscout on Windows 8.1 for a long time, but when I upgraded to Windows 10 I noticed it crashes whenever I try to go through the settings. The settings panel will flyout from the right, but after a few clicks around it will crash the app. Don't remember seeing this with Windows 8.1

This app does everything a podcast app should, and it does it damn well. Offline playback, background audio, searches the iTunes database (so you can actually find things to listen too), is nicely designed. Thanks to the devs for finally giving Win8.1 a top notch podcast listener!

It doesn't back up automatically so if there's a problem, you're often out of luck. If you use the EXPORT option to save your subscriptions and settings, a restore doesn't bring it back. I had 14 items that constantly would show up for download that I couldn't delete out and would always reappear afterwards. When it works, it works pretty well and it's probably the best of the bunch, but it still has some issues which you should be aware of. I'm going to have to end up downloading Zune or iTunes just to get a podcaster that is more reliable.

This is an excellent app to download and listen or watch video podcasts to podcasts. I download to an attached micro-SD card on my HP Stream 7. This app works perfect.
