MVV-App

The MVV-App is a free-of-charge application for journey-planning and purchasing mobile tickets by the Munich transport association (Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund, MVV). It is your helpful and efficient assistant when availing of public transport within the MVV network, be it by bus, regional train, suburban train, underground railway or tramway (streetcar). With a few clicks you can access train schedules, connections, view network maps and be up-to-date with actual traffic news and information. In addition, having the MVV-App is almost like having your own personal ticket machine with you; at any time you can purchase selected tickets with your smartphone. Functional overview: - Departures: The departure monitor indicates the next departures for each stop or from your current position. You can mark important stops as your favorite. - Trips: The journey-planner will help you to find the quickest connections from any address or your current location to any destination, and that door-to-door. You can mark preferred trips as your favorite, inquire about ticket and tariff/price information and share connections via sms or email or just safe the connection to your calendar. - Notes: Search traffic information for public transport within the MVV area, filter the information by routes or inform other passengers about bus and train delays with the MVV Mobile Traffic Information System. - Tickets: Purchase selected MVV tickets with your smartphone. You can buy either single-trip tickets or day tickets. Day tickets are offered for individuals or for groups of up to five persons. - Network plans: The MVV-App provides you with various maps and plans. - Settings: You can choose between various options to adjust the app to your needs. In order to use all features, the MVV-App requires online data connection and GPS reception. You also need to register to be able to buy tickets. Errors and omissions excepted.
