Imported all my messages from my old phone that I had backed up. I will actually use Skype now with it being integrated. And I love the landscape view. Great way to go through messages.

I absolutely appreciate the effort, I just wish the attachments and voice is not limited to sms, but must be also available for skype.

After much frustration and a one star review. I finally got the app to download and it's actually pretty cool.

I love the idea that Microsoft is moving in the direction where technology is getting more universal to be social with other platforms. I'm sure other giants as Apple and Google has caught on but where is the Apps? There has not been an Instagram app created yet by Instagram and Facebook just took over Windows version of Facebook. Can we finally see them make big jumps next year since Windows 10 is a sensation? I hope so.

I like that you can like text and also call but also see them at the same time like face time but a little diffrent

This is Universal App from skype is nice, keep more update, i like it

1. I can't know my friends online or not 2. app crashes when my computer wakes up after sleeping. 3. More feature like skype.exe has please, and update it until app is stable 4. no way to clean chat history 5. messages arrive late, lack of options

It is Fair. Will use desktop version vs Skype Video/Messaging. It appears, history can not be deleted from the app.

Pros: - Is integrated with Windows 10 - Very nice interface - Skype contacts become contacts in the People app Cons: - Missing ability to attach files and photos - Want to debug bugs? Nope. The Settings in Skype Video are HORRIBLE. Can't change camera or mic you want to use. A better Settings menu in the Skype Video app could help... A LOT. - Can't share screens - Microphone or Playback will stop working randomly - Can't add participants - To make a group call you need to go to Messaging, then add the people, then press call. - Can't make group calls from Skype Video - Can't delete contacts Bugs: - When sharing contacts from the People app, and you select Messaging, it says "Can't attach." - Playback and/or Microphone will randomly stop working This app NEEDS improvement ASAP for it to be a viable Skype option. Also, maybe make Cortana able to call or text people via Skype. That'd be nice. :)

It has some probs, but its not too bad. It is real easy to install and uninstall which is real convenient

I complete but good enough to do 50% of what is possible in the original skype. Too bad you can't send pictures or something else other than text and emotions.

I like the direction Microsoft is going, but I have a lot of issues with the video working on the Surface 3. Most of the time the other end can't hear me. I also can't seem to sign-out easily. Sticking with Skype for desktop for now.

Needs better full emoji animation so both parties see the same thing. In other words, Desktop app, Skype Video app and Messaging+Skype app all share the exact same emoji's and be able to attach pictures etc.

I like how skype is being built into windows 10 now, but this needs essential features (e.g. group chats, being able to add people to calls) asap. I've had to use skype online after this app updated and deleted my old skype

I'd like to see more of the Skype features integrated into the Skype Video app. Tasks as simple as switching to the front facing camera aren't available yet.

Skype calling isn't working for me, messages are...but it still needs A LOT of work. Though, LOVING the notifications and how you can reply directly from there!!!

I understand this is a lighter application than full on skype, but I think for example having some notifications when there is new messages is key. Either that is not in the app or I am not seeing where to turn it on. Sharing images and files would be nice as well but notifications is critical!

Really basic feature set compared to Skype and the UI is very bland

It signed me into my skype account w/o my knowledge or permission! My PC is a 100% gaming machine and nothing else, I don't want any extra fluff on here, make a way to disable/uninstall this feature.

Group chat now working, messaging one on one works great, Skype calls great, missing call to numbers so no land line messaging and weird bug when computer goes to sleep, waking up messages come flooding in on a delay. Simple interface, too plain in some cases but as for universal function, going in the right direction. Just needs to resolve the group messaging before Google beats them to the punch with the Google chat and calling app
