Yelp integration sounded great. But only on paper is this app worth downloading. I have yet to see an actual map in the app. Oh, and you can forget about logging in with your Google account. That's only for useful Google Maps clients.

Gave me wrong directions twice in 1 month...the road didn't even exist...second time gave me direction to on wrong side of the ramp to express way.could have crashed into oncoming traffic...
Very poor of Microsoft..a software company with so poor apps....

I love that this uses gmaps, which is superior to bing, apple, and others. Unfortunately from a touchscreen PC gmaps is laggy and not smooth. This gives gmaps in an app, so the touch function is nice and smooth!
Now for the downside- this app is based entirely from your current location. All direction and searches apply only to your current location. If I am in Seattle, I can only search for coffee shops nearby, can't search for anything in Portland. I can zoom in and see stuff in Portland, but can't search it.
But overall, props for putting gmaps into a touch friendly PC app! I'll take it until something better comes along, or gmaps gets better from a browser.
