JiShop

JiShop is a Japanese-English kanji and compound word dictionary. Focus on locating kanji by handwriting, but you can also find kanji by visual elements (radicals), reading (ON/KUN), English translation, or stroke count. 5600 kanji, 47000 words. JiShop also includes some learning aides - a kanji/kana/word drill, and a flash card feature. In the free trial, JiShop offers full functionality for 30 days, then its database shrinks to 1006 school kanji. At $7.99, much too expensive compared with other options. Also, although trial is supposed to be fully functional, immediately after downloading I was told that I have to buy a full license. I would prefer the option to display readings in romaji or kana. Kana is the best way to learn!
