Great for creation of greeting card graphics on 0.92 for Microsoft Store. But the "Extensions >> Modify Path >> Perspective" did not run. I had to go back to 0.91 from the Inkscape website.

I'm using Surface Book without WinTab and I don't want to install it to broke Adobe Illustrator

This app is much better in the Windows Store! Easy to install, and works great!

I've been using Inkscape for years to make scientific drawings, it's very intuitive and well documented.

Love it but I'd to use the desktop app one.

I didn't mainly want this program for digital painting, which it seemed like you could do, but when I saw the ugly interface and lag the program suffers from, I knew that I was not about to waste any more time.

The desktop version however gives me pressure support any hopes of MYPAINT joining the windows store

Awesome FREE app, all the tools and little extras added in inkscape is what i would expect in some high dollar Microsoft app. Thank you .

Although this program is a very powerful vector graphics editor, it suffers many problems. The biggest problem is the UI. It is clunky, hard to use, slow, outdated, and the worst of all, does not scale with high resolution displays. That's right. If you use a computer with a 2k or 4k screen like the Lenovo Yoga, the UI is going to fail to scale with the screen size and everything is going to appear extremely tiny. It is completely unusable on high resolution laptops and that is a HUGE problem.

No problem, so far. I just wish it support dark theme and new modern toolbar icon. it looks so old. ;)

It is great for Inkscape to finally embrace UWP as Centennial... however there are some mishaps such as the app not properly scaled for higher DPI (try to open the preferences dialog with 200% scaling) and currently the apps does not embrace the API like live tiles etc.

I love inkscape, and I love it even more now that it is available in the Windows Store!

This is the kind of apps we need in the store!

I have been using Inkscape for my graphic design for while and it's a completely powerful software, you can do almost everything. Logos, Sketching, Designs and more.... The UI is not the best, but it's free and open source. Excellent alternative for Adobe Illustrator (Better in my personal opinion) :D

This app replaced the installation of GIMP on my machine. Amazing job

I love using this software aside from Gimp because it allows me to do more than Microsoft Paint on ALL 3 PLATFORMS! Its stable, FREE, and my requirements don't need an expensive Adobe Photoshop app license.

Opens and edits vector shaped images, it can trace bitmaps and has a really small learning curve to harness its power. I didn't give it 5 stars because it lacks the ability to create artboards which is a must have in 2017!!

thanks

It doesn't come with any instruction. Its so confusing!

avatar

please make it universal. for windows 10 mobile

avatar

16 June 2017

Yea, there's a lot of features but there pretty hard to use if your using a tablet since its so small and squeezed together.

Learning curve is kind of steep if you don't know about vector graphics. However, if you put in the time you eventually achieve god-like powers that mere mortals only dream of.

love your work. works like a charm.

I've used Inkscape as a casual user for the past couple of years and find it to be a great vector graphics program. Now it is in the Windows Store which is a nice improvement. The thousands of files and multiple registry entries shouldn't have any chance of bogging down my system. I had not noticed issues before, but this gives an extra measure of confidence everything will continue to be updated and work exactly as it should. Thanks to the developers for putting it in the store.

I agree with the other guy, please add a scalable XAML UI, but otherwise it's still the great Inkscape! Works great with the stylus. Please add Dial support too.

And, gradually adding UWP features will make it even better.

I wish it would detect the display DPI and scale the controls. You can increase the icon size in preferences, but for instance the color palate doesn't scale at the bottom.

It worked just fine until today then all it does is crash and fail to open. I downloaded this App in hopes it wouldn't have the same issues as the web download. I have used this now for a few months, with issues but acceptable, and have had a few issues here and there with bugs, but as of today it has totally crapped out and is basically useless. Vectors it has opened without issue in the past will not open, projects will not open, it freezes everything on my computer and have had to pull the battery now 2x. Is that acceptable even for a free program?????? No. I downloaded this thinking it would not have the same issue(s), I was wrong. It is just as bad if not worse. Luckily I have not lost any project because I backed the up, but what good is that when the program doesn't even work properly or at all. This is a joke, fix it
