HAS BUGS!!! It *could* be a wonderful game, and starts off that way. It's very difficult to make progress without paying real money for imaginary 'jewels', 'weapons', and other boosters (I won't spend a single real penny for totally imaginary things; there are human beings, fellow life-forms, and a plethora of serious issues in reality that need our money). The game also interrupts whatever you're doing with notices about 'energy' and special sales of imaginary game items. Worst of all is that there are definite BUGS: blank spaces in the list of items to search for, and blank half-screens in 'Past' mode, where the player is supposed to find the differences between two pictures. I've tried to play "Past" rounds many times, but the game loads only half of the pictures; the left half of my screen is plain white. I've emailed G5 more than once about this and other BUGS, but it's been months and there's no improvement.

Beautiful art, pleasing background music, and a nice variety of scenes and minigames. I'd give it 5 stars, but the prices of consumables are ridiculous. I'm past level 50 and I've never purchased anything, so you can definitely play for free if you exercise some patience and planning. Tip: make sure you add a bunch of friends, and visit and gift them every day, to get lots of xp and rewards.

I like this game much better than the Secret Society one. The graphics are beautiful and the introductory processes are explained better, so you can get a feel for where everything is and how it all plays together. The hidden objects are more reasonable to find, but still challenging enough, once you get past the first beginner set. Wish there were more avatars to choose from, but I suspect those get unlocked and/or are purchaseable later on...?

The game is interesting and I enjoy the challenge of the puzzles but I have a problem with the game. I can not get the left screen of any split screen puzzle, it comes up blank. This is any past or reflection puzzle. There are also random blank spots on the hidden city so I have to guess where to click in the area. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoy the game and the challenges.

I like the game overall. Challenging and addicting. Good variety and mini games. I just wish there weren't time delays and so many purchase requests.

I both like and dislike this game but made up my mind to give it a four. Things I dislike: Not enough explanation - there should be a user site or something. The playing board is crowded and you sometimes click on the thing NEXT to the one you wanted. The labels show up a lot - it should be hover text. Finally, while I understand the need to sell things in a free game, this goes a little overboard. Things I like: More diversity than some other games. There is a storyline although I am interested to see how that goes. The special events are easier to participate in than some other games.

great game I love it. it is very interesting finding all the items. the only thing I do not like is always running out of energy. I think that you should be able to get more energy without buying it or asking friends.

A little slow starting but fun and relaxing after a hard day! Wonderful!! Like the different levels and quests!

Graphics are excellent & the hidden objects pics are much better then the past. A new twist was added with finding the difference between two pics. However, it's the same old repetitive game format. "Combat" with the monsters is a joke. Instead of getting items needed & vanquishing monsters with one click you now need multiple clicks to do same thing. Hidden objects are more challenging & they also blended some items with background so much so you need more then an eagle-eye to find them. Zoom is restricted & doesn't help much. You still get bombarded with "deals" to get you to spend real $$...which actually buys you nothing that lasts very long. Goals list is so long you can't keep up & makes them absolutely worthless after one day's play. Ignore them & play as you like. Same 30 day events you can't complete unless you stock-pile energy items. You can burn through energy in 30mins then wait hours to re-generate...unless you spend real $$. Don't. Game is repetitive, nothing to win.

Enjoyable game--easy to get sucked in and play much longer than I should.

This is an interesting game in that there's always something new. But it can be very frustrating, too, because the complexity go up so quickly unless you purchase rubies and bonuses. But maybe that's good because the game could be very additive and you could spend too much time here instead of doing other things. The characters are good and the some of the artwork is beautiful. I'm enjoying it.

Awesome and addicting but a tad too easy to find objects and way too many tasks to complete at one time. You lose track of the quests with so many to complete. Otherwise it really keeps you going.

I find this game compelling and challenging. I still have plenty of exploration to do so it seems that I will be enjoying " Hidden City : Mystery of Shadows" for a long time to come. I do have one Problem though, I can't seem to find a way to get tech support . I am having a situation where to new promotion Connected with "Room of fate" kick me back to desktop when I try to enter the room throught "the city's dungeons" drop down with the room in abracadabra mode.

Just challenging enough to be fun... but easy enough to be successful..... and very addictive... I don't mind spending a few dollars... cheaper entertainment than the movies.

The game is very challenging but sometimes the items are not visible in the rooms and it isnt that they are hidden, it is just that they are not there.

A fun and way-too addictive game, but it always starts up full-screen, regardless of how it was when I closed it. A minor annoyance. Also, yes, like most games nowadays, you run out of energy and can buy items to help you advance, but you can absolutely play, enjoy, and advance without putting in any money at all.

Love the game and the numerous scenes. Only frustration is how difficult it is to collect some of the items to complete a collection.

I love how much fun the games are and how challenging they are and continue to be. I log in to play at least a few times a day.

The game is fun, but to make the any headway during the special times or as you gain experience, you do need to make an investment in tools; not much by most people's standards, but still an investment. Since I'm generally not a gamer, this is slightly bothersome to me. All in all, though, it is a fun game and quite addictive. I enjoy the story lines very much.

love your game. It is very addictive, thank goodness I run out of energy or I would play forever. I wish there were some instructions to tell me what I am doing and maybe definitions to some of the items that I am looking for, like what is a Kantana? It is not in my dictionary.

There's definitely a heavy handed pay to win aspect to this game, but its also very addictive. The energy restores slowly, which can be frustrating, and items needed to assemble the collections and advance are hard to come by, most likely to promote you buying them rather than finding them. It's fun, but beware that it's definitely not entirely "free."
