Thank you for your patience and reviews. We've fixed lags and now map works fast (sorry for that annoying bug). We've also fixed local search. Let us know if you still have experience any issues with the app.

Good map but needs integration with a google account to extract the bookmarks

This ap offers nothing that dozens of other don't do equally as well or better. Moreover, it could NOT handle directions to multi location, it can only deal with A & B, no C, D or E

The idea of this app is great, but it does not show multiple search results for you to choose from. It picks the destinations for you and runs the path. This was taking me all around the country for specifically local directions. Great potential though.

The very first address I typed in prompted an error message, and then when I ignored it, and tried to go to street view, that prompted an error message that would not go away regardless of which option I selected. I finally sent a message to make it go away, but it still wouldn't let me out of the error loop. I uninstalled, then reinstalled, and got the same result.

This is the only way to put google maps on your windows device, and it could be better. The location it finds you at is miles off of where you actually are. Not only that, but the ui is very different from the actual google maps application. If you practice with the app though, it becomes very competent in what it set out to perform.

Works very well and the on-screen icons and buttons are well-sized for fingers, making it easy to use on a tablet (e.g. Surface Pro) My one complaint is that street view location isn't very accurate. e.g. select my house, click on the street view icon: end up about 2 blocks away. This might have something to do with defaulting to HD view, which is beautiful, but apparently not complete coverage. Overall a very nice app though.

Simple searches that get the correct results in google maps get nothing here. Or, occasionally, something wildly inaccurate. If you do find what you're looking for and want directions, there is a friendly little button above the location for you to use. As long as you want them from "My Location". It apparently never occurred to anyone I might want them from somewhere else. Or that I might not have GPS enabled. Or to just open the directions dialog and leave it at that. Chimps could design a better app.

nice

You can't drop the street view ma where ever - you have to search for the location and then hit the eye button, which takes too long. Also there is no Google account integration.

I installed this to get directions for my commute to work and to find restaurants in my area and this app didn't help at all. I was better off going on google map full online site.

This app doesn't seem to have the best user interface. What's more, no matter what I input for my destination, it just keeps giving me directions on how to get to Las Vegas. I don't even like Vegas. I don't like to gamble, and I'm uncomfortable drinking that far away from home. More to the point, I suspect the user interface is behind this. I imagine I'm somehow not updating the directions and just going back to an old destination that got entered somehow. Again, the interface just isn't that intuitive.

Windows phone 8 users get the Paid version, this app is awesome. 5/5

I started using this app on my Windows Phone that is awesome. After moving all my laptops to Windows 8 and now 8.1 I have used this app for directions via car and transit. The printed directions and maps are concise and very invaluable for my constant treks around the 5 boros of NYC.

This is a very useful app. The reason I got it was because the bing map app was very slow and bad user friendliness so I tried this app. I have not regretted it at all.

This app is a superstar on Windows Phone, and is just as superb and useful here on Windows 8! Layers for traffic, weather, public transportation, etc., only add to the depth this app provides.

Great adaptation of google maps. Love the night mode although I wish it would use more automatic options to detect such (for example a quick snapshot from the attached camera (if given permission) would allow it to determine light level

Hi, Thanks for your useful map application.

Really liking this application. No ads. Almost as good as official app, except the fact that this does not support offline caching. Great job! After the last update on Jan 29th, app crushes during its boot process. Re-installing did not fix the issue. (WindousRT, Asus VivoRT) Update on Jan 31st, 2013: Uninstalled > Deleted registry entry > Re-installed. Working fine again.

I think this is better than the official Google maps app on my android phone. Works very smoothly, options are easy to access and use.

This Google Maps app is very fast. I compared this app against Bing Maps. It had the same search speed and direction generation as Bing Maps. This app also gives you traffic and weather as well as other layers to choose from. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Love this app for Google's rich traffic info (compared to Bing maps) and that pinch-to-zoom works a lot smoother than the browser version of Google maps.

The only thing lacking is the ability to drop pins and being able to save different locations on the map.
