How do you screw this game up?Well they did this time. Its buggy.Big time.Controls are wonky at times meaning sometimes when you press the gamepad button for sword if using a gamepad,it opens the options menu. What?Or they just don't work at all.Even the title screen blanks out randomly.Avoid this game at all costs.save youre 10 dollars.

Let me address that it DOES work with the keyboard, you just have to update the Settings in the upper left corner every time you've started a new game. (am not sure how/or if it works with a game pad) It defaults to using your mouse with onscreen arrows & sword but once you've started a new game - you can pause it to change the Game Options to keyboard and continue from that point on. I thought $10 was pricey but I have to assume I spent hundreds on this game back in the early 80s when it came out. It has a tutorial if you never played it and has Easy or Hard difficulty level for when you need more of a challenge. It's funny how much of my memory recall came back that I was able to get the final Dragon Slaying portion fairly quickly. Needless to say, I loved this game and its fun to play again.

I've always loved this game and when I saw it in the Store, I had to get it. The graphics are amazing and I love it. Despite the fact that you have to go into settings every time to change it to use the keyboard.

Okay, I admit I had to come back and change my review from one star to four, all because I was having problems with the default controls. I don't know why, but this is the second game (the other being GTA: San Andreas) that defaulted to touchscreen controls when I don't have a touchscreen PC. But clicking on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper left hand corner when in windowed mode, you can change the controller option to a d-pad, keyboard, or, in my preferred option, a controller. I've barely scratched the surface of this, but I'm having a lot of fun with this, so far. I remember this game from when I was a kid and I just didn't have enough quarters to get very far. It's interesting how they flop the screen in certain scenes on successive playthroughs to that what once was left is now right and vice-versa.

I loved this game as a kid. Even better, I loved getting to the end of the game using only one life. Kudos to the design team, testers and developers -- they did a great job keeping the look, feel and experience of the game just as I remembered. Very cool!
