CommonCoreMath

CommonCoreMath app provides Common Core Mathematics questions by domain for grades 1-8 and the Common Core Math standards by domain for Kindergarten and High School. The standards by domain for Kindergarten and High School are matched with the Common Core State Standards Initiative and California State Standards. This app is free and once downloaded from the Windows store requires no internet connection. The start page of the CommonCoreMath app allows the user to select a grade they wish to work with. The choices are: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade, High School Number and Quantity, High School Algebra, High School Functions, High School Geometry and High School Statistics and Probability. Selecting a grade icon with bring up a screen for that grade’s domain. Selecting a domain for grades 1-8 will bring up questions related to the Common Core Domain for the selected domain. The number of questions ranges from 10 to 20. Selecting a domain for Kindergarten and High School will bring up the standards related to the selected Common Core Domain. For example: Selecting the Grade 8 icon, will bring up the Grade 8 domains (The Number System, Expressions and Equations, Functions, Geometry and Statistics and Probability). Selecting the Functions Domain icon will bring up the 1st question related to this domain. For example: Selecting the High School Functions icon, will bring up the High School Function domains (Interpreting Functions, Building Functions, “Linear, Quadratic, Exponential Models” and Trigonometric Functions). Selecting the Building Functions icon will bring up the 1st standard related to the domain.

At least the common core standards are out there, but there is no way to tell which state the standards relate too ... okay, so they are supposed to be "the same across the USA," but I know for a fact that modifications to the standards exist. That is a secondary issue for me. My primary issue: For each statement of a standard, I would like to see a link to an actual application of the standard. That would improve this greatly. Nice start, it just needs improvements. Since "common core" is making a change, as education often does, perhaps a name change to something more like the "Standards for K12," with a statement that it is based on the Common Core standards.

I was having trouble in my math class and I asked my teacher for help and she said go commoncoremath in a few days I was a++++++ in my class this app couldn't be better

I think this app is really awesome😁. I am in the 6th grade and homeschooled and just got this app on my surface and it has some nice questions. And as for u April i think you should get Khan Academy it teaches u and will give you tests at ur pace. I really recommend it.😃

I am in 5th grade and am having trouble with division and fractions well I wanted something that would teach me not ask me questions and this didn't help my knowledge growth at all
