Seems to not work correctly
6 May 2014
So - I log into the MS TechEd NA 2014 site and add stuff to my schedule, but then it doesn't show up here... I have to link a Channel 9 account... etc... I am a little confused by the design / end user workflow of this app... As much as I "want it to work"... it just seems flawed in concept.

Adding a mechanism to evaluate sessions directly in the app would be useful. A bug is that for Build 2014, you cannot filter sessions to just those on Friday. You have to view all in order to see them.

The "add favorite" functionality should not be buried under the app command bar. Adding a favorite is primary functionality and should appear right in the UI without having to bring up the command bar.

Unfortunate that it required its own login. More people would have rated sessions if it supported the live I'd we used to register.

Doesn't show schedule choices pinned on MSDN Channel 9 web site, and doesn't show overall event schedule, so hard to see value at this point.

The live tile is basically useless (shows random events, and news, not helpful) Why aren't there notifications? (session cancelled, session starting in 15 minutes, stuff like that) Why doesn't it integrate with my calendar? Why can't I show detailed status on lock screen (would be great for showing next even on my agenda while I'm walking around with my surface) Same complaints apply to Windows phone version. Basic functionality that could have been so much more. Maybe next year?

Comparable to other event apps I've used. I wish it leveraged Windows more: integration with calendars, OneNote, etc. A venue map would be handy. If I could "check-in" to a session, you could remind me to do evals at the end of the week, integrate some social aspects with other attendees in the same session, preformat my share text with the correct Twitter hashtags, etc. This could be an amazing app. It's just average.

Sorry, but the event goes live today and the first thing the user sees are sessions marked "TBD". Then the rest of the UI consists of endless pages of session descriptions. A little thought should have been given to organizing the content so that a user can find what they're looking for and navigate through results more easily. For such a big event as TechEd and for an app by Falafel, I was expecting a lot more. This app is terrible & clearly not the best way to showcase your Windows 8.

Despite new Win8 Charms experience the app seems to be working as advertised. Will update later, after a week at MSTECHED.
