TruNote

TruNote is an application that allows you to write down your thoughts or ideas through the use of a pen. It can be used like real paper. You can share the same TruNote data on multiple devices via OneDrive(R). A white board can be captured for a notebook even if you are creating your idea on the notebook. Comments can also be added to the captured photo. Pen attributes, such as width and color, can be changed after they are written down. You can automatically collect data created by TruCapture, TruRecorder, etc, and browse them with TruNote. You can search the Internet using handwritten words. You can select those handwritten characters and copy them to the clipboard as recognized text. For example, you can use the handwritten notes on e-mail apps. The copy-and-paste works on handwritten characters, but also works on handwritten figures and tables, and is easy to paste to Microsoft(R) Office Applicaitons. Handwritten character recognition technology is powered by MyScript® To use premium features, such as searching by handwritten, you will need to purchase it from within the app. Microsoft and OneDrive are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and/or other countries.

It would be so much better if you could send your PowerPoint or other documents to it. Also if you could extend the page instead of having to open a new one other than that it would be the perfect app for note taking.

They have done a good job with this app. The writing experience is smooth, it keeps up and your writing and looks like it would on paper. The organization capabilities are pretty good; the thumbnails are a bit small. Searching your writing works very well. I'm making good use of this app.

It only saves OneNote to OneDrive under your own name notebook.

Does not export to Word 2013. You can save as a Word docx, but only as an image and will not sync with One Drive. Says you can save as OneNote, but will not sync with OneNote. Options to import or export are grayed out. Only successful saving as a.txt file. Also Toshiba tech support insists this is a third party application, and recommends contacting the app developer, even after being told multiple times that it's a Toshiba app. No way to tell if it is premium or not. Toshiba support offers no help whatsoever.

Bought a tablet strictly for digital note taking. This app is my favorite. I think it's awesome. But of course it can be improved upon, like able to create separate sections inside a notebook. But I love the ability to disable touch so I can rest my hand on the screen.
