First of all, they should have two apps on the store, a trial, and a paid version. This "Free but not really" just makes the whole experience unpleasant from the start. Secondly, the handwriting recognition is one of the worst I've seen. I spent about 5 times trying to draw a '9' before just giving up. I tried several different stroke patterns etc, and kept getting 'g', 'y', and not 9. 'y' was also an issue, and there was clearly no contextual intelligence. When I write y=x+3, it should be clear that I don't mean x=x+3, even if you thought that first character could be an x to begin with. Finally, the handwriting recognition doesn't go much beyond numbers and letters. Couldn't get most greek letters to work, etc. This one I don't mind too much as this is geared for middle school range students. In summary, this app costs 15 dollars each year, and feels more like a beta version. Poor recognition, and very few things to actually do with the numbers/equations you write.

Was and amazing app, but the last update causes the app to crash non-stop immediately when launched. Please fix.

Hidden costs to use even though it's listed as free.

Hidden $15/year fee for inability to save worksheets. That alone makes this app nothing more than a gimmick. Also animations crash if y resolves to a negative number!? Why not just handle negs by not moving object until 'y' is positive? Can't model any situation where one object moves before the other. This app should not be treated as more than a proof of concept for a potentially amazing application! App would be 3.5 stars with save/open feature. A 3 if the Animation didn't crash. A 4.5 if both were addressed. A 5 if it was cheaper and all complaints addressed. Hope this helps someone...

This is the way math should be done!! Elegant and simple. The handwriting recognition works very well and it incredibly solves and graphs everything!! I will be using this app to teach my algebra classes and I'll recommend it to all of my students.
