The app looks nice, but much of the functionality is missing. I can't share most pictures/memes that I like and I can't have any reaction to something other than "liking" it. These are things I've come to expect as basic functionality. Also a lot of the apps still do not direct correctly.

While in daily use, I see this app use more than 700 megabytes of RAM routinely. WHY?!?! When viewed from a web browser, which is typically more up to date, responsive and full featured the memory hit is less than 100MB. Your common development environment may make things nice for your developers, but it exacts a heavy price on the hardware of your users. There is zero justification for this level of resource use for what the app does. Also, why does the damned thing refresh and scroll away while I'm typing a status or comment, making me in many cases lose the text I was typing?!?! The web site work better and more reliably, this app is a waste of storage

But I have None open or not read. Shows I have 2???? And It's happening again..... ;-( I had to uninstall it to clear the phantom notification that I have messages etc. and don't. Fix this when all alerts are over stop showing I have some still. I have to uninstall the app to clear this? Why don't they update this app? :-( I'm still getting these False indications of unread posts. Keep deleting the app over and over... And still to delete the app and install again. Why??? We need a way to zoom or change font size. Do you understand the age group using this app? The Share charm option that requires the app open is annoying. Webpages opening in FB does not make me feel safe. I want my webpages to open in my AV integrated browser so we need the option to set a preference.

If at some point you need help from fb they will not help. it is as if they do not care. I have waited for sometimes for help with an issue I am having and no one has bothered to help me at all. If it wasn't that I have som many family members on my profile I would remove it and never use this network again. All they care about is marketing, get what ever info they can get from you and passing it on to other companies. I am very upset with the whole thing, and advise anyone who has not falling into this trap to stay away.

Cannot find share Button but for groups, The drop down box only gives me my timeline and friends and another drop down box on the side is a list of other things but not groups?. Where can I go to find out about these problems. everything seems so spread out and hard-to-find Also in a click on the picture to put it in my photo album there is no drop down box that allows me to choose save image etc. Instead their three dots on the left inside which to bit confusing? I also have problems with Dragon NaturallySpeaking that I have to use a dictation box. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It used to be. I just dictate right into the post on sharing and comments. What I dictated the comments. The minute I try to close it with my mouse or any other method ,what I said simply disappears? Final thought, is this compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 and Windows 10 for that is the combination am using? It seems a little faster but it needs to be more USER-FRIENDLY

Good, easy to user interface. Like the feeds on left/right panel. Sometimes the center pane scroll disappears and you can't scroll down pages. Would also like to see Giphy integration like in FB Messenger.

Make videos go actual fullscreen completely not just within the app and use the hidden icons tray to make the app run better in background and another thing facebook pages other than profile group and home there's no scroll bar at the side for example public figures and please add a refresh page button because sometimes pages can fail to load properly

Facebook on Windows 8 worked excellent when it first came out three years ago. Unfortunately, it's a different story today. Although basic functionality is still there, two things about it are hampering my use of it. First, its Messenger functionality is no longer supported (it was cut on March 28 of this year), forcing me to upgrade to Windows 10, which to many users is an inconvenience or not just possible, and using the website just isn't the same as using an app. And second, the app does not save my login info: every time the app is restarted it prompts for my login info as if I had just installed it from scratch. For the same reason, I don't get on-screen notifications of new messages and posts, which worked back in the days before Windows 10 came out. Facebook seems to leave all their old users behind, and I have become accustomed to using this app ever since it became available. What a pure disappointment. If you are reading my review, you might be better off using your browser.

It does not work I open the windows 10 tile downloaded it. It be great if Microsoft & Facebook would tell us about it. It opens but it will not let me share with different groups on Facebook. Or it will not me post at all :( :(

Okay, I know with each new update, the app gets larger, but it's as if all updates are installing separately from the original app. Do you not overwrite the old app? I know many phones now have much larger memory capacity, which is so full of bloat ware it's like it doesn't even exist but 2GB, really? No wonder I can't get it to complete install. Find a way to use less of our valuable space.

It's great to view and upload posts while on my PC, but the panoramic photos that I have posted via my iPhone aren't in panoramic. The feature is not supported with the PC app. Maybe in a future update?

I've a browser that takes up 350Mb of my SSD and does all this app does. This app has to be light weight. This is the biggest challenge Fb engineers face. Suck at building a light weight app. You guys should attend a bootcamp at Twitter to learn building light weight apps.

With the latest version of the app, the Live Tile on my PC is not showing anything but a blue background, only a unread count. Please fix and bring support for a large live tile!

The app does what it needs to, but there is one irk that knocked off a couple stars: the app has no option to disable the in-app browser or open links using my preferred browser. That is a must-have feature and the Win10 app sadly still does not have it.

One month unable to use messenger. Impossible to update app through window shop. A real disaster.

I have to constantly close and reopen the app just to log back in after logging out. Also, why isn't there an option to use your own default browser when clicking links? You have to open a webpage twice, basically, just to view a link in Chrome.

Real bad about closing on me a lot....... Would be cool if you added where you could share to another app especially on the pictures.

Please match all functions of other platforms - I'd also like to see birthday calendar come back (sync to my local calendar) as well as the ability to make FB a lock screen notification icon.

I wish there was a dark (better black😊) theme for Facebook and Messenger. Then on Facebook I'd very much like the option to broadcast live videos and on Messenger the calling option. Otherwise I'm satisfied with both apps. No crashes. Five stars from me if you solve the three aspects.

Disgusting. Can't configure basic things like open link in browser and show videos while playing. Such a load of crap.

App never worked smoothly. But nowadays it's even worst. It closes every time demanding persistence to navigate. Videos interruptedly shut down the app as well when watching them. them Impossible to upload video or pictures ( pics work after 5or 6 times when it does). So annoying!.

Too many glitches in it. Stops working and I end up having to close & reopen or it will just crash on me especially when I'm right in the middle of posting. Not happy at all. Would also like a larger variety of stickers. And also what is the deal about needing to allow cookies every time I want to look at something that someone has posted as a link. I don't want that kind of access.

What a disappointment from FB. So much unused real estate, crappy layout. Where's the video section? Can't view panoramic pictures, etc. Just a half @$$ attemp. Back to the drawing board. There are 100 m windows users. Act like it!

I challenge your CEO to get the latest android or even kindle fire HD version and compare it to this windows 10 phone version and be happy with results. The features are too watered down Microsoft. Really, no direct button? You are Microsoft and you should be better than this. The sad thing is you guys at Microsoft seem to lack urgency to make sure these type of apps are updated the same time your competitors.

Needs an update badly, I'm on a touch screen laptop and it's quite different than mobile version. Can't edit comments Can't add emoji ect...

Hm, you know that funny little "continue reading" button that shows up when someone makes a really long post? Yeah... Wouldn't it be nice if when i click on the button it actually shows me the rest of the post and do what you think it's supposed to? Frustrating as heck that all it seems to do is just open up the post in its own separate page and allow you only to look at half of the text you were trying to read and some pictures that might be attached to the post. Unbelievably frustrating how much that one simple feature could keep me out of the dark for really important posts.

Facebook for Windows 10 app offers a broad and enjoyable experience in the social platform. It offers much more functionality than expected and diverges from the browser-based web experience in a pleasantly surprising way. My biggest critique is that opening the app is slow, due to the memory required, and often makes other open apps/programs become less responsive.

Portrait-oriented pictures don't auto expand on the wall which gives this pixelated thumbnail look on the wall. And it's also not as controllable as the Facebook app on android.

Almost all of the features are here which is nice to see. Please add lock screen support and polish the app a bit so it runs faster.
