Chess By Post

*** There is also a free version of Chess By Post that is ad supported. This paid version has no in-game advertisements *** Chess by post is the only cross-platform chess game that keeps track of your skill level and always matches you against players of similar ability to your own. And since it is available for iPhone, Android, Windows Phones, and Windows 8 PCs, you can play your friends no matter what type of phone or device they have. Play correspondence chess with real people online! Challenge your friends to friendly games or play ranked matches against random opponents of similar skill levels. Play as many simultaneous games as you want! Improve your ranking by playing ranked games against comparable opponents. Skill ranking updates using the classic Elo rating system to adjust your rank when you win or lose. A leaderboard view shows you how you compare to the top players. Chess By Post is perfect for players of all skill levels because your matched opponent's skill level will be adapted based on your own skill level. Pin the app to your home screen and push notifications will let you know when you have moves waiting! Use the move planner to try out strategies before submitting your move. Customize the board color to be wood, green, blue, red or gray. Chat with your opponents using the in-game message board. Tap on any opponent name to see your all-time head-to-head stats. Create a local hand-off game and play your friend by passing the phone back and forth. v4.3 ----- Bug fixes and performance improvements

Not a bad chess app. Pretty fun actually. One thing I thought was missing is an option to play a timed quick match. It's nice you can play multiple games simultaneously but seriously I prefer to just focus on one game at a time, preferably one that doesn't take 3 days to finish. Lol overall worth the 2.99 I spent on it.

Great app! The only thing I wish it has is the option to turn on/off the grid letterings and numbers for easier reference when making notes
