Overall decent app. It does not have the same features as the website. The Planner is missing. The grocery list is great but it is the only way to access planned meals. Please fix this.

Great cooking app for windows phone. As Windows seems to get slim pickings for apps, this one is more than I expected. Very nice job.

It's great for recipes however when trying to access my grocery list it shuts down. It's highly irritating because I can't see what ingredients I require. I have to go off to find the recipe and write down the ingredients from that. Would be better if the part of that app actually worked.

I use this app all the time. It gives me great ideas for the week's dinners. I do get an error when I favorite a recipe, but it still adds it so no big deal.

This has a large recipe data base of recipes and it works alright.
But something I heard yesterday from a friend changed my mind about using this app anymore.
Apparently this site/app advertises for a "work at home" job as a kitchen helper/recipe editor but then when you ask to apply or information them they just give you the run a round,and there is no such job.
So are you desperate enough for good recipes to lower your standards? They sound scummy to me. I am so sick of people online running WAH scams. There are legitimate jobs from home that people in rural areas, or retired people need so they can make extra $. But scams make it hard to find these jobs.
Besides there are better (maybe not larger) but BETTER in the Store. They're lucky I gave 2 stars

I use Big Oven to organize recipes, make a weekly menu plan, and create a shopping list. We eat much healthier meals if I take the time to plan and buy ingredients needed foe the week. Big Oven is the best app I have found for this purpose.

So, this app is fairly good. It syncs with the web app quickly so you can keep track of groceries. You can search for recipes on the phone, and add groceries to your list. However, there are some things that really should be addressed in the next overhaul (perhaps in time for Windows 10?).
1. The app has way less functionality than the website. I can't access my meal calendar or change what department groceries are in on the app. These are both features that I would use often, and sometimes I have had to access the web site through my phone to correct something.
2. The app doesn't seem to keep a record of groceries that I have entered before, so every time I put in Greek yogurt I have to put in its department as well. This is more problematic when adding recipes to the grocery list because then there are multiple entries that need to be fixed, and can only be corrected on the web site.
So, a helpful app, best I could find for Windows phone, worth getting premium, but could use some upgrades.
